Better - much better

Great result, a better performance but still there's much improvement in it.

Johnson has to be Man of the Match. A lot of our good play went through him. He penetrated well, ran at Stoke's defence well, crossed well and got himself on the scoresheet.

Lucas was also good. Gerrard had his moments, notably creating the first goal and the third with runs down the right. Kuyt saw a lot of the ball dropping quite deep and was a bit hit and miss, but did get a goal and was involved in a lot of our play.
