Indian group interested in takeover??

SOURCE : SKY SPORT

The owners of Indian IPL cricket club Delhi Daredevils are interested in investing in Liverpool Football Club, according to Sky Sports.

Members of the Indian-based GMR Group were in Merseyside this week to discuss a possible takeover or an investment in the club.

The group is owned by Grandhi Mallikarjun Rao, who is is ranked the 198th richest in the world and has his wealth valued at $6.2 billion.

Rao sent his members to Merseyside to discuss the move and they sat alongside American co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett in the Anfield directors’ box for the clash with Arsenal on Tuesday which ended in a 4-4 draw.

The GMR Group, a leading infrastructure developer in India, currently run the Delhi Daredevils cricket side but are believed to be looking to expand into other sports.

Hicks and Gillett must soon refinance the £350million loan which enabled them to buy the club but are currently unable to do so.

Several other businessmen are interested in buying a share of Liverpool including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai’s ruling family and Nassar Al Kharafi of Kuwait.

Liverpool 4 - 4 Arsenal

fabulous game of football..
this one is surely one of the best matches that i have ever watched...
Bleh sakit jantung tgk game nih..
actually our defend making stupid clearance, no one winning enough second balls..
It was a great game to watch for us neutrals and real end to end excitement from the start until the finish
I think Liverpool's title challenge is now officially over after dropping 2 crucial points with Man Utd having 2 games in hand now...

Liverpool vs Arsenal

It's a mammoth game. Not must win... but realistically, it is must win.

No Gerrard makes the task harder. If we had him, with Arsenal playing at the weekend in the FA Cup, i'd fancy our chances. We can still do it but it's going to be harder.

Gerrard nominated for PFA Player of the Year along with five United players

LIVERPOOL skipper Steven Gerrard is the only non-Manchester United player on the list of nominees for the PFA player of the year award.

Liverpool 2009-10 Away Kit

Liverpool’s new away kit and shirt for season 2009/10 will be black with gold adidas trim and red piping.

Liverpool’s Carlsberg sponsor will also be in gold.

Rumours have been doing the rounds on the forums since the start of the year, but we were informed that a white shirt was also under discussion as the new away top. This morning we have been told that the club and adidas have decided on the black kit for Liverpool’s new 09/10 away based on sales of the reds previous black shirt.

This season’s European shirt sales have been disappointing but now that we have confirmation of next years away shirt we suspect the second design of a white shirt may feature as Liverpool’s third shirt for 09/10 in order to revive sales. The club’s other option is to have a second home shirt for European games, as the main Liverpool home kit will not be replaced for another 18 months.

Liverpool fans, with Wednesday being the 20th anniversary, remember those who died at Hillsborough in 1989.

Fernando Torres shows the frustration as the tie begins to ebb away from Liverpool.

Dont stop believe

THIS TIME I KNOW IT'S FOR REAL

PICK THAT ONE OUT

Fabio Aurelio bends in a cheeky free-kick to make Liverpool believe they can pull off a miracle.

Chelsea 4 - 4 Liverpool (2ND LEG: 7 - 5 )(Agg)

Chelsea Liverpool
Didier Drogba (51') Fabio Aurelio (19')
Alex (57') Xabi Alonso (28') pen
Frank Lampard (76') Lucas (81')
Frank Lampard (89') Dirk Kuyt (82')

Great game...excitement in the air in the first half but that quickly dissipated in the 2nd half...

We played extremely well and I have to tip my hat at Dirk Kuyt...a player that comes under enormous pressure yet he still scored in the dying minutes of the second half...well done Dirk!

Chelsea didn't seem to play that well for me...sure they had the lead coming into the game...but they didn't really display their full potential tonight..

One of the best games I've seen for sometime...

CHELSEA V LIVERPOOL: STAT ATTACK

Source : Liverpollfc.tv

Liverpool's European Record (overall): Pld 299 Won 171 Drawn 64 Lost 64.

Liverpool's record in European Cup: Pld 168 Won 99 Drawn 35 Lost 34.

This is Liverpool's 300th game in European competition.

The next win will be Liverpool's 100th in the European Cup. Their first came in August 1964 when they won 5-0 in Reykjavik.

In order to reach the semi-finals Liverpool will have to become the first visiting team ever to score three goals at Stamford Bridge in a European game.

If Liverpool bow out of the competition tonight it will be only the fourth time in 14 quarter-finals they have been eliminated. Their previous defeats came at the hands of CSKA Sofia (1982), Widzew Lodz (1983) and Bayer Leverkusen (2002).

The Reds have won just four of the previous 17 games in Europe against English opposition drawing seven times and losing six.

Liverpool have never beaten an English team in European competition away from home. In eight trips they have drawn four and lost four scoring just four goals.

The Reds have scored only twice in four previous Champions League visits to Stamford Bridge.

Steven Gerrard has scored in two quarter-final stages of the Champions League. If he scores in this game he will equal Sami Hyypia's club record of three.

If Steven scores again during this campaign he will break the club record of seven European Cup goals in a season currently held by Roger Hunt (1964-65), Gerrard himself (2005-06), Peter Crouch (2006-07) and Dirk Kuyt last season.

Gerrard has scored 32 goals in Europe, the most by any British player for one English club. His next goal will take him past Alan Shearer whose 32 goals came with two clubs (30 for Newcastle and 2 for Blackburn). He is still some way behind Ruud Van Nistelrooy who scored 38 for Manchester United while Thierry Henry has hit the most for a British club - 42 for Arsenal.

Only Barcelona's Lionel Messi (8) has scored more Champions League goals this season than Liverpool's captain.

No player has ever scored a hat-trick for Liverpool at Stamford Bridge while Chelsea's last against the Reds came from George Mills on this ground in August 1937.

Liverpool have been involved in three European penalty shoot-outs (winning them all) and have won ten out of 11 in all competitions.

The Reds biggest victory on this ground came in December 1989 when they won 5-2 in the league on the way to winning their last title. Since then they have won twice in 25 visits in all competitions without scoring three in a game.

Only twice in 75 visits have Liverpool achieved a result at Stamford Bridge that would earn them outright victory in the tie. On another two occasions they have won 3-1 which would take it into extra time.

Chelsea vs Liverpool FC (2nd Leg)

i don't think the tie is over , Liverpool have shown us in the past some memorable comebacks , they have the quality to do it..

Objek pelik di JB

Oleh AFIFI HAFIZ M. NOR
berita@kosmo.com.my

Seorang pereka grafik, Mohd.

Hillsborough Memorial day..

April 15 1989: Fans desperately try to climb out of the crush in the terraces at Leppings Lane.

Source : Wikipedia.

Hillsborough Stadium was segregated between the opposing fans as was customary at all large matches, the Liverpool supporters being assigned to the Leppings Lane End of the stadium. Kick-off was scheduled for 3:00 pm, with fans advised to take up their positions fifteen minutes beforehand. On the day of the match both radio and television advised that supporters without tickets should not attend.

It was reported that many fans arriving from Lancashire and around had been delayed by unannounced roadworks on the M62 motorway over the Pennines.

Between 2:30 pm and 2:40 pm, there was a considerable build-up of fans in the small area outside the turnstile entrances to the Leppings Lane End, all eager to enter the stadium quickly before the match started. A bottleneck developed with more fans arriving than could enter the two cages set in the middle of the Leppings Lane stand. People who had been refused entry could not leave the area because of the crush behind them but remained as an obstruction. The fans outside could hear the cheering from inside as the teams came on the pitch ten minutes before the match started, and again as the match kicked-off, but could not get in; the start was not delayed while the fans got in. Security opened a side gate to eject someone, and 20 people rushed in through it. With an estimated 5,000 fans trying to get through the turnstiles, and increasing security concerns over crushing outside the turnstiles, the police, to avoid deaths outside the ground, opened a set of gates, intended as an exit, which did not have turnstiles (Gate C). This caused a rush of supporters through the gate into the stadium.

The result was that an influx of many thousands of fans through a narrow tunnel at the rear of the terrace, and into the two already-overcrowded central pens, caused a huge crush at the front of the terrace, where people were being pressed up against the fencing by the weight of the crowd behind them. The people entering were unaware of the problems at the fence—police or stewards would normally have stood at the entrance to the tunnel if the central pens had reached capacity, and would have directed fans to the side pens, but on this occasion they did not, for reasons which have never been fully explained.

For some time, the problem at the front was not noticed by anybody other than those affected; the attention of most people was absorbed by the match, which had already begun. It was not until 3:06 pm that the referee, after being advised by the police, stopped the match several minutes after fans had started climbing the fence to escape the crush. By this time, a small gate in the fencing had been forced open and some fans escaped via this route; others continued to climb over the fencing, and still other fans were pulled to safety by fellow fans in the West Stand directly above the Leppings Lane terrace. Finally the fence broke under pressure of people.
Liverpool fans desperately try to climb the fence onto the safety of the pitch

Fans were packed so tightly in the pens that many died standing up of compressive asphyxia. The pitch quickly started to fill with people sweating and gasping for breath and injured by crushing, and with the bodies of the dead. The police, stewards and ambulance service present at the stadium were overwhelmed. Uninjured fans helped as best they could, many attempting CPR and some tearing down advertising hoardings to act as makeshift stretchers.

As these events unfolded, some police officers were still being deployed to make a cordon three-quarters of the way down the pitch, with the aim of preventing Liverpool supporters reaching the Nottingham Forest supporters at the opposite end of the stadium. Some fans tried to break through the police cordon to ferry injured supporters to waiting ambulances, and were forcibly turned back. (44 ambulances had arrived at the stadium, but police prevented all but one from entering, and that one was forced to turn back due to the vast amount of people who needed help.)

A total of 94 people died on the day, with 766 other fans being injured and around 300 being taken to hospital. Four days later, the death toll reached 95 when 14-year-old Lee Nicol died in hospital from his injuries. The final death toll became 96 in March 1993, when Tony Bland died after remaining in a coma for nearly four years.

Hati-hati guna Friendster,Facebook, MySpace...

l Semua data mengenai aktiviti dimasukkan.

l Semua data mengenai kejayaan diri dimasukkan.

l Alamat, bandar, nombor telefon, kelab, pekerjaan, rekod pendidikan, minat, aktiviti harian, habis diberikan begitu sahaja.

Jangan sesekali memberikan maklumat penting. Palsukan semua maklumat yang dirasakan tinggi privasinya.

Maklumlah.. rakyat Malaysia inikan cepat terpengaruh. Apalagi dengan benda percuma sebegini

so..berhati2lah..

Liverpool lining up move for £18m striker Eto'o?

Rafael Benitez is ready to launch an £18m bid to bring Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o to Anfield, according to reports in Spain...

p/s : We need a top class second-striker to be able to play alongside Torres in games in which we will dominate ludicrously so, and also someone who is good enough to effectively deputise in Torres' absence..actually i would love Augero and Van der vaart!!! That would b a real attacking four that would strike fear into defences!!!

Toyota Vios, Honda City VS Proton Persona

Harga Vios : RM 74000
Harga Honda City: RM 84000
Harga Proton: RM 56800 (Katalah PERSONA)
PERBEZAAN HARGA
Vios Vs Proton: RM 17200
Honda City Vs Proton: RM 27200

100000 (km) bahagi 100 (liter) = 1,000 darab 7 (liter) = 7,000 darab 2.7 (harga minyak seliter) = RM 18,900.00

DENGAN ITU, PEMBELIAN PETROL UNTUK KENDERAAN PERSONA ADALAH SEBANYAK RM 18,900 BAGI PENGGUNAAN SEBANYAK 100,000 KILOMETER. (4 TAHUN)

Harga Kenderaan (PERSONA) campur (+) Jumlah Petrol yang digunakan (100,000KM) BERSAMAAN = RM 75,700

IKLAN BARU BAGI HARGA KENDERAAN
Toyota VIOS: RM 74000 (tanpa petrol)
Honda City: RM 84000 (tanpa petrol)
Proton PERSONA: RM 75,700 (TERMASUK petrol untuk perjalanan sehingga 100,000km)
DIANGGARKAN DLM 4 TAHUN
HA!!!! NAK PILIH YANG MANA!!!. TEPUK DADA TANYA SELERA.

SEKADAR BERKONGSI IDEA. WALAUBAGAIMANAPUN, TERPULANG KEPADA PILIHAN ANDA.
